Hello everyone. How easy or hard would it be to go to Kurdistan and join the Peshmerga and help defend Kurdistan?
I don't speak many languages other than English. I know a few words in Arabic, a few in Hebrew, and enough Spanish to pass Spanish 2 in highschool.
I know how to operate, clean, and maintain any type of AK and AR/M16 platform weapon. I'm physically fit and in shape for the most part. I can take combat training courses here. I'm already a good shot I practice shooting at the range a lot. I thought about joining the army, either here in America or in Israel the minimum amount of years to get combat training, and then after if there is still war going on, going over there and fighting. But I think it might be over in a couple years.
I see how ISIS has fighters from all over the world joining them, I want to help defend Kurdistan and fight against the Jihadists. I feel like not doing something is doing the wrong thing. I hate sitting back in my comfortable environment while people are suffering and dying when I might be able to do something about it.
Would this be possible or would they even need me? Would I just get in the way? Idk if I would be more of a liability or help. Maybe if I join an army and get military training that would be better? I just don't want to miss this opportunity to do something.
