It would maybe also mean, that Kurds can't get Kirkuk, because of American pressure

autonomous Kurdish zone in the north
how do they want to move their military to a region that dont even want to use its name ? and avoid using its name ?
they use Kurdish Zone in the north instead of Kurdistan Regional Government .
by my idea this news is just something to warn Turkey, and it is not really going to be done .

Kurdistan Region is officially recognized in Iraqi Constitution, then...
I think that because of Iran, US and Israël would like to use Kurdistan as basis. Safer than Turkey.
But of course, nothing is done. Let's hope.

PUK has very strong ties with Iran , I can tell you more than 70% of the goods in the Slemani come from Iran and Iran has a lot of influence on PUK .

if america can give PUK petorl , oil , food , cloth ... all those thins that comes from Iran , yeah ofcourse PUK could love US more. but can that much things be imported just by an airport from America ?

Don't forgot how Israël with US support, has survived even surrounded. It would not be easy but perhaps possible. Moreover, it is not sure that Turkey will stop its investments in Kurdistan, all the same.

exactly! iran also fund the pkk. PUK has had strong ties with Iran for decades, i doubt they wil get rid of this ally that quickly.

Kurdistan has one of the highest amounts of oil in the entire region, because of that fact i doubt america will ever recognise Kurdistan, it will simply control it forever, and silly kurdish leaders will fall for all their bribes
