What is Karsaz?

PostAuthor: Vladimir » Wed Oct 25, 2006 7:28 pm

Let's take the debate further. Another group under the control of the PKK is Karsaz, a Kurdish businessmen group, which is kind of like the Turkish Union and Chambers and Commodities Exchanges (TOBB) and Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD). The cultural centers, publication organs, associations, political groups and business associations that are under PKK control or are organized by the group have spread all around the world. It's got a political formation that may constitute the most powerful lobby group behind the Jewish lobby and the Armenian diaspora. The budget of this formation is estimated to be around $1 billion.

Anyone heard about this group or knows more about them?
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.
