Actually, I have seen Lorî Kurds on Kurdistan TV as well. They had a whole program with Lorî Kurdish singers once or twice...

how can you claim that roj tv encourages peopel to sucide bombing ?

I never said that. Check. I said "die for apo" not "suicide bombing". Die for apo can mean going in the mountains, receiving an obsolete weapon, not getting any proper food and dying for nothing at the corner of a road.

A friend of mine (kurd) told me about one kurdish mother. She lost one son in the guerila. When he heard that her second son burnt himself at a demonstration in germany. Yet she wore a big necklace with a portrait of Apo on it, telling that she was not sad her son died because they died for him. It is the kind of heavy crap I hate (knowing how a great soldier apo was), and why I said "die for Apo". So I did not say "Suidide bombing". Thank you.

And you see we agree on independence of TV, it is all I mean.

@tomjez
What you suggest? How could Apo put up an strugle without an army, without ppl ready to kill him self for his ideology?

Yes i know it is a hard world, but if no one can show me any other alternative way for the problems in the Norther part of Kurdistan, then silince is the best way.

I am assuming you were not talking to me... because I already know Lorî's are Kurds. I even called them Lorî Kurds.

Although you will find Lors who identify themselves as an Iranian tribe, and who will forget the Kurdish part, there are many Lors that DO consider themselves Kurds... you may particularly hear this about those in the villages of the Lorestan region. I remember seeing a Lor on Kurdistan TV once and they were talking about the great influence that Southern Kurdistan is having. They said that it has raised the level of Kurdish pride among Kurds and has opened the eyes of many to their true identity.

By the way... just tonight Kurdistan TV had aired a concert on TV that consisted of Lorî Kurdish artists. Once they finished their performance, the audience gave them a standing ovation. It was a very nice program.

Ancient Muslims historians and geographers considered Kurds and Lurs as the same people, because they were similar in their way of life and language : Nomadic iWestern Iranians... even Bakhtyars were included into "Kurdish group". But when we read Ibn Khaldun for example, we see that for these scholars, all Arab nomads were Bedouins and all Western Iranian Nomads were Kurds... It was a general view.

In his history, Sharaf Khan of Bitlis includes too Lurds in his Kurdish dynasties, and related the history of Great and Lesser Lurs...

It is only at the 20th century that Linguists decided that Lorî was not Kurdish, but another dialect. And then people began to distinguish... And there are some political reasons too. I think that Kurds have a reputation of "revolutionanry/trouble-makers" :wink: which can attract some people and rebuff others who don't want to have problems...

That is true. Kurds do have this reputation, however it is something that has been fabricated by the oppresive states. The reason for this is because they have attempted to blame Kurds for the number of problems in Kurdistan (and often those nationalists, or fascists rather, tend to believe their governments). In reality, Kurds would have no reason to cause "trouble" if they were just treated equally and were given all their rights :D

I would compare the Lors who do not identify themselves as Kurds similar to the Shabak in Southern Kurdistan. They, themselves, are split on this subject but it is a matter of time before they realize.
