Marouf Gaznayi is Kurd also, then he has the right to express his opinions too.

For Kurditan is politically and socially influenced by a religion, and if you are not agree with that, for it concerns your own citizens'life, as a Kurdish citizen you have the absolute right to criticize islamic point of view, as any kind of other political movement.

Halabjee has no common sense, he puts out a book, that is racist and anti-muslim, in a Muslim country, what does he expect, he will be punished for his stupid actions.

Calling Turkey the most Democratic Muslim country, is something that would only come out of a Turk.

exactly what i was thinking, i cant believe this shit is coming out of a kurdish forum, turkey is as much democratic (whatever that word means nowadays) as black is white!

TUNISIA?????? ARE YOU OUT OF YOU'RE FUCKING MIND??? This is an insult to all tunisian journalists getting arrested and tortured for their writings!!! Kowait an UAE? coutry where they are wondering if women can drive according to islam??

you're either insane, or an arab nationalist! I work in Human Rights man, so I have a pretty good idea of human right abuses in a lot of countries. Palestine, where you risk you're life if you speak against fanatic islamic parties, tunisia with a president for life, Kuwait ruled by an emir (great!)...

"Most democratic muslim country" is not a super prize, it's just a fact! There are free elections every five years, alternance of political parties, freedom of exression is highly improving, men and women are equal in front of the law, military don't command to the parliament as they used to be...how can yo call democracy a country ruled by americans, unable to ensure security of its own citizens! How can you, if you're really kurdish be proud about Iraq?????? How can you believe that elections make democracy!!!!!!!!

Even stupid french who are against turkey in UE know that Turkey is the most democratic muslim country, it is just a fact! TURKEY NOW in 2006, not turkey of the military coup! I'm not saying this country is a "model" of course, a lot of things have to be done but FUCK! don't compare it with stupid arab countries with elected for life dicators like Ben Ali or Moubarak!!!!!!

your oblivious! the number of journalists in turkey being arrested for even mentioning the word kurd is outrageous, both turkish and kurdish journalists! turkey is no way a democratic muslim country...a "democracy" would not ban religious hijabs, would not make 25 million voices unheard, would not torture, rape citizens who are against the government, burn down villages, ban kurdish, ban kurdish culture etc etc etc I refuse to believe any kurd believes turkey is democratic, you must be a turk 100%.

I believe someone here said that Kurdish Women dont wear Hijabs at all??

there isnt a kurdish girl i know that doesnt wear hijab, maybe thats just me

Marouf Gaznayi is Kurd also, then he has the right to express his opinions too.

everyone has the right to express their opinions but to publish an anti-islam book in a muslim country, you got to be prepared for anger and protests!

I never said it was democracy, I said it was more democratic than every other muslim state. There is no two type of regime in the world : perfect democracies and horrible dictatorships. But you seems to love black and white, maybe you have trouble distinguishing colours...

Plus situation evolves, nothing is decided for centuries, and I'm not stupid enough to wish turkey stays as it is just to be able to say it is a fascist state. If I defend kurdish cause, it's because I'm shocked by negation of a people identity, hypocrisy, killing of civilians, ethnic cleansing, not because I don't like turkey.

dont put words in my mouth, i said everyone has the right to express their opnions but they also have to act responsibly and expect to take criticism and anger at their opinions, cos thats also their right to express their anger.

i simply stated what i have known of kurdish girls in Europe and america, all of them have worn hijab, why are you assuming that i think if they dont they are "whore blood traitor" as you put it  i havnt said such a thing, thats just what u think i will think, dont presume

Sorry I'm a bit tense today, and I was jocking anyway. In turkey a lot of kurdish girls are not veiled. In Southern Kurdistan I saw a lot of modern girls in Duhok and Zakho, not too much in Suleymanye and Erbil. In France it depends, all the kurdish girl I know are not veiled, but it is logical, I don't frequent any veiled girl in turkey either and a lot of turkish girls are :)

The trouble is that he has not only to face "critics" but threatening from islamists and from a "ministry for religion" saying that it is forbidden to criticize islam and promising he would be condemn. Is the the secular Constitution that Kurds would like to promote in Iraq ?

Anger or demonstrations are nothing if without threatening.
