Kurdistani.com should have perhaps checked the validity of this news before they published it. Seems like an excessive number of their recent reports have been none other than negatives for the KRG.

Actually there is no real democracy in southern Kurdistan. For moment there isn't a lot's of human rights violations because there is no real opposition. It is dangerous to criticize the authorities there.

I do not know why you posted that twice but I never said there was a true democracy operating within Southern Kurdistan. I simply said that it is highly unlikely that the Human Rights Minister made a statement like the one that theKurdistani reported. However, I would also disagree with your claim that there is NO democracy altogether. There is no need to explain me the politics of the KRG; there are many problems. I am familiar with them and I am a critic, myself.

UPDATE :

President Barzani " this punishment for Dr Kamal is so hard, it is because our laws are still based on Bathist Law, I ask the court to LEGALY forgive him , and I ask kurdistan Parliamnet to change such bathist laws "

acording to peyamner, Dr Kamal will be released soon .

http://peyamner.com/article.php?id=33300&lang=kurdish

Stupid Kamal, he wasnt in prison even for 10 days but he made bad picture for kurdistan that we cant not recover for 10 months.

why he think if the go to prison by bitching and pornography , peopel would see him as inttelcutal freedom fighter ?
I see him as an asshole shit , that destroyed picture of KRG , Persian Nationalist used that against KRG , saying LOOK KURDS CAN NOT CONTROL THEMSELF...
while KRG is so much better than Iran or Turkey.

stupid Kamal, I hope he die by Bird Fule .

If Dr Kamal wished to die like a martyr he will be furious, lol.

But I think that now he has get what he wished : publicity, and an aura of "Brave Kurdish intellectual" facing the bad governement gang...

And then he could write hundreds of dramatic articles relating his heroic captivity. Kurdistani.com and KurdMedia will problably nominated him as the "Kurd of the Year".

Well he wrote some good articles on Kurdishmedia. But there is almost no good information about him. For what article he was thrown in prison.. etc..

Then he is released.. and I still don't know where he was jailed for.

And yes it was used as propaganda against the Kurds by Al Jazeera (Arabs), Turkish media( Turks), Persian nationalists.. etc
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

If the news that he will soon be released is true, then we have made a small step towards true democracy in Kurdistan. It is true that the laws in Kurdistan must change according to the great change in socio-economic factors in the region. This cannot be done by wishful thinking, it needs people like Dr. Kemal to stand up and even pay for these changes.

I don't know why some of you guys condemn Dr. Kemal, he is not less patriotic than us. We cannot blindly trust any person or party to lead the people. The absolute power brings absolute corruption no matter how great the possessor of that absolute power is. That's why we should keep an eye on the parties and don't be brainwashed by them. So let's applaud for Dr. Kemal for his concern and also for KRG if they have handled this critic in a civilized manner.

Strange news.. nothing about a court. The accusation was "retreated" or I mean.. it was pulled back right?

do you like to see Kamal's prison ?

Image

(the green note on the picture says , "Kamal's picture in the prison" , this photo is taken by peyamner)

is that really a prison or a palace ?

acording to peymaner, as piling said, those popel who had complain from him didnt follow the complain , and for his OTHER crimes, he should be in prison for 3 months , that he has already passed it , so he will be freed soon.

I am sure he will miss such a clean modern prison .
