Armenia and Genocide

PostAuthor: Nistiman » Tue Jun 14, 2005 3:50 am

I think it is important to realize that any semblance of solidarity between the Armenians and Kurds is just that -- an appearance of solidarity. Beneath the surface lies a great clash of interests. The Armenians support Kurdish demands in Turkey only because we have a common enemy and it will be easier for them to carry out their designs in kurdish cities like Diyarbakir, Van, etc... (which they claim are their ancestral lands) if Turkey's grip weakens.

Armenians are quick to bring the charge of genocide against the Kurds but the "never again" slogan is difficult to take seriously when the Armenian state carried out its own ethnic cleansing of Red Kurdistan between 1992-94 without a single soul raising protest.
