Don't know why you would say that because they have accomplished more for the Kurds than any other of the Kurdish parties in neighbouring countries. In Syria, Kurds are still without citizenship and in Turkey are not even recognized. As an outsider and comparing tha struggle and movement of Kurds everywhere I would say Iraqi Kurds are by far the most productive and intelligent. Must be that Iraqi blood

I voted No!

Those bastards need to be retired, they are still far behind the civilazations with their bloody Bakrajo, Qalacholan & sari rash's corrupted gov. U know guys if u lived in south kurdistan then u may find the key of the problem... the main trouble maker is (Nawa luta) and this guy flamed the Civil war during 1994, and he is a great obstical to reunite the two adminstrations. On the other hand I don't deny Sary rash's backwards and primitive's attitudes, but that damn ( Nawa luta) acting like still he is in the mautains.

Yes they should, but they should remain as two parties. A united Party does not move anyone forward, but two or three, or even 10, they will compete with one another over ideas, and if they have an idea that is better, then they will win...this will make the other Parties have to come up with better ideas.
It's not the Party's really is it? It's because people who live in certain areas vote for KDP and people who live in other areas vote for PUK, so they do not have to win your votes, they can always count on them. You must make them fight for your votes and not just vote on the basis of family affiliation...as long as that continues, then why do they have to get their act together?

Please do not insult her for that! She was also a journalist with the financial times for 15 years, she helped with the LSU matter and she is very good, very classy and very effective. It's NOT HER fault that the way Kurdish society is structured is very old-fashioned and there are aristocrats everywhere...but she did work...and I mean regular work without anyone treating her like a princess as a journalist and I think she is doing a good job in London now for Kurdistan.
That being said, the structure of any viable and prosperous society must allow participation from more than just the dynasties, or the political families...you have to have those to start with right? I mean, where would Kurdistan be without those who were there to lead, but it also must transition to a system of competetive ideas and not just assured elections based on names right?
So, you work with what you have, and then you improve on it. Not everything need be dismanteled to be improved. It will be an evolution, but the people must be informed of this evolution. It should be explained better, that voting for name or family ONLY, can never lead to a society where the representatives actually work on the people's behalf.
