Songs have permitted to preserve the memory of kurdish history, protagonists, events etc
Songs have permitted to affirm the existence of the kurdish language, particularly in hard assimilation periods.
Singers have permitted through their messages to make the people aware of their identity and give the feeling to belong to a different culture, nation.
Singers have permitted to lead revolts against the occupiers and to give fighters to kurdish revolts. A good song with a nice melody is worth thousand speechs.
Singers have permitted to broke the frontiers in the minds and hearts of Kurds, to create and maintain the hope of a unified great kurdistan.
The foes have allways at the end put down the kurdish revolts, destroyed villages, done massacres...but the music has continued, particularly thanks to singers in exile who have allways called the Kurds in the hardest situations not to give up.
For all that reasons, big respects for all the singers who have defended the kurdish culture and rights.
The specialists of the kurdish history allways omit the role of the singers, but actually they have been and are our greatest force.
Through the promotion and the affirmation of the kurdish culture at the national and international level we can damage the fascist states more than through guerillas, particularly with all the modern means that exist nowadays we have plenty of possibilities of action. Particularly those of us who are abroad and in southern kurdistan we have freedom, so we have an important role to play in that field.
Now we have other modern and more efficient means to fight
Of course we musn't forget the other aspects: economy, politics...
I hope don't look like a crazy person
What are your opinions?
