in order to respect a Male person , you call him Kak X , Kak Y.
it also means Brother . (it is used mostly for older brother)
some use it as "Sir"

It mostly means "Sir" in Kurdish and is used as a form of respect... so if I say Kak Rami, it is like saying Sir Rami

Turkish:
Man: Kurtce biliyormusun?
Lady: Hayir.
Man: O zaman, niye agliyorsun?
Lady: Abi bu turkuyu aglamak icin kurtce bilmek mi gerek?
English:
Man: Do you speak Kurdish?
Lady: No.
Man: Then why are you crying?
