I think it will be healthy for us to try to define these terms I have listed below... So often they are used incorrectly...

Let's start with those... I think we have some extremely differing oppinions on this forum...

What is patriotism ? Love for the homeland, with a desire to improve it or to defend it against agression.

What is nationalism ? An extemist patriotism, wit a will of superiority against other people, a will to dominate foreign countries, often with a xenophobia and a will of isolation "no friends but ourselves".

Fascism is a political regime instaured by Mussolini in 1922., with the cult of the Leader, the supremacy of force against Law, an exaltation of militaryagainst parliamentary and civil regime, a defiance toward democracy, etc.

A jash was a Kurd employed by Iraqi government to fight other Kurds. Then by extension, a traitor working for an else nation to crush violently his own people.

What makes you a bad Kurd? : Jash.


And what makes you a good Kurd? All but Jash.


Who IS a Kurd? Perhaps someone who claims to be.

What is Patriotism? And what is Nationalism?
Nationalism is loving your nation (most of the times your ethnic) and it motovates you to defeat other ethnics in every aspect .
it is a way of dividing humans ,and I am gainst dividing humans .

patriotism is loving your homland, but it doenst mean you hate other lands.
I just love kurdistan, because it is like my mom, you can not love any other woman , even britney spears or maddona, as your mom .
so natrualy I love my Kurdistan and I do best for it.



Who is a Jash?
somebody who reports patriout kurd's activity to the occupier government

Who IS a Kurd?
Kurd is not just an ethinc concept, but it is a spirtual concept too .

I know some kurds who are kurd by blood and by language but we dont call them kurd.
we say "ewe key kurda ?"

- a kurd is somebody who never breaks promises ,
there is a poem by hemin which says "were Kurd be meke peyman şikêny"
(let be kurd and not break promise)
or in daily converstions we say "I give you a Kurdish Promise (peymany kurdane)"

-a kurd is somebody who never lies
in kurdish conversations, when two ppl argue , one says "be Kurd dont lie ..."

-a kurd is somebody who pays a lot of attention to his relatives and family .(it may be good or bad , but it is a kurd's adjective anyway)
I remember , one of my far far families hosted me in their house for days and they didnt let me to spend $1 ... just because I was their realtive.

-a kurd boy is so senstive about his mother and sister . (it may be good or bay)

-a kurd boy doenst stare at girls with a "dirty eye"(dont know the english word... in kurdi we say "çaw çepel" meaning Dirty Eye)... Kurdish boys are famous for being Good Boys in this way.

-a kurd woman is so loyal to his husband .

-a kurd pays more attention to Meaning than Appereance.
for example
a persian lady would make a food which would be so Beautifull but may be not Clean,and Valueable.
a Kurd lady would rather make a clean, valueble food than a beautifull food .

a kurdis house may be not deocrated that much , but more comfortable...
and so on. (may be it is Kurds weakness or not... that they dont pay much attention to decoration and appereance)

I am sure you can add more adjectives to this list .

who is a good kurd ?
somebody who has all kurd's adjctives.

Never lie, never break promises, never stare a a girl in a certain way, always loyal... It seems to be very difficult to be a COMPLETE Kurd, lol. Does it exist a lot ?

I add another things to the list of kurd's adjectives :

- a kurd is somebody who doent accept oppression , a kurd belives this slogan
"meji bo mirdin bimre bo jiyan" (Do Not live to die, Die to Live)
or "yan azad jiyan , ya azad mirdin" (a free life or a free death)
or "kem biji kell biji" (live short but live with quality)

-a kurd never feels sad and depressed, because he is always with family, and relatives, and they all try to dance and make life happy.
so crying or being depressed (like Persians or Shia Arabs' mourning) is not the way kurds live.
