So a discussion at "What type of Kurdistan" lead me to the question: What does your name mean - Is it Kurdish?

My name is Sohrab - Sohrab is the Persian version of the KURDISH name Zohrav- Zohrav consists of two words - "Zohr" and "Av" - "Av" meaning water and "Zohr" meaning strenght...

Sohrab = Zohrav = Strong water... Or Water Lord or Water Master or Strenght of Water...

What does your name mean? Is it Kurdish?

Zanyar is kurdish means intellectual, but its not my real name. Also my real name is kurdish as well and as nice as Zanyar.

Hey - I just only remembered - My name could also be "SOR" and "AV" - Meaning= RED WATER... Kurdish blood maybe

I think your name might either be - Hasan, Mustafa or Metin... I don't know.. haven't lived in Turkey long enough to know... :wink:

Why not give me a better hint?
