Note: The 1995 Factbook on Armenia produced by the Of fice of Research and Analysis of the Armenian Assembly of America lists the following minorities in the country: "Russians, Kurds, Yezidis, Greeks, Jews and Assyrians." This deliberate categorization of Kurds into linguistic and religious groups brings to mind the old Roman maxim, divide and conquer.

Now this article was very hurting to read--- I am sorry that some Armenians don't appreciate the Kurds for their kindness, hospitality and loyalty... I can't see how Kurds can accept this and just leave- they should make the country do a anti-discrimination campaign... Or something else that can enlighten peoples minds...

I am sure that there are lots of Armenians that are good and loyal friends of Kurds...

By the way - The Jews,Yezîdî and Assyrians - as they call them may as well be Kurds... I know that many Assyrians don't like to be called Kurds... but then there are those who do see themselves as Kurds... Only christian Kurds :D I like that thinking ;)

Kassem - you can be very abrupt at times... WHy are you so harsh on a WHOLE people??? You haven't heard the story of one and every single one of them have you??

You know what??? I BET that you have no relation to Armenians in your life... Statistics show that we are prejudice about people we have little or no contact with...

Do you know any Armenians??? :D

These links should provide more information.

Although Kurds are treated relatively well in Armenia, the Armenian government has a long ways to go in assisting the Kurdish community establish things such as schools, organizations, etc.

My sympathy for Armenians is decreasing, i got really angry after reading that article. Assyrians are also the same scum, they talk about us, yet we put food in their mouths.
