London (KurdishMedia.com) 04 November 2005: The designated German Chancellor Angela Merkel is scheduled to meet with Mazoud Barzani, the president of Kurdistan Regional Government, to offer Germany's support for the creation of an independent Kurdish entity in southern part of greater Kurdistan, the German sources revealed.
The Americans are supporting the plan and the Turkish military sees the solution viable, the sources reveal. Kurdistan, since the establishment of Kurdish self-rule, has offered Turkey a buffer zone against terror activities of Arab parts of Iraq and Kurdistan is becoming the regional backbone of Turkish economy. Even Kurdish politics is discussed over Turkish Heyat water in the Kurdistan parliament. Perhaps, most importantly, a stable Iraqi Arab entity is not envisaged in the coming years; and unstable Iraq would have a great impact on destabilising Turkey. Perhaps a small southern Kurdistani political entity is not a heavy price for what Turkey gets in return.
I think she is teasing the turks hahahah

Well in Turkey a lot of people in the press speak openly of Kurdistan, and advocate a strongly autonomous or independant kurdistan. They say Turkey should stop his stupid policy (which it is doing already) and create a good partnership with this Neighbor. They say that in order to have good relationship with an independant kurdistan Turkey should solve its kurdish problem as well, in a democratic way of course.
So thing are moving! Biji South Kurdistan ! Yasasin Güney Kurdistan!

Ummmm... This is so disappointing... WHAT ABOUT NORTH KURDISTAN?
They speak freely of South Kurdistan - but they piss in their pants when they hear "NORTH KURDISTAN"... Damn fools...

Kidding!
Let's just say that if one of the kurdistan's is independant in the next years (months??) it is unlikely to be the north one. Would you agree with that?
OF COURSE WE WILL HAVE A FEDERAL STATE IN NORTH KURDISTAN TOO! Wink Wink
And that would be great, but I think that Turkey is like France "Federalism" is a very very bad word...to accept federalism, turkey would need a revolution!

I would say the first part who should get indepenten for a Kurdistan are those who lies in the area of the Zagros Mountains so mostly these parts of Iran,Iraq about Turkey hmm really hard but they maybe can handle it now but as more as Kurdistan is going to be independent so more its harder for the Turkish Goverment to deny the Kurds and their homeplace.
so if you want freedom in the middle east and near east there should be two or three new states and non Arab States.
