The Medya Defense Zones are areas declared as 'liberated' by the HPG. The size of the MDZ is approximately the size of Holland according to estimates made in 2003.

Yeah and in 2003 April in Iraqi TV, we could hear that American fled front of Iraqi soldiers !

527 Kurdish human shield from the activist group 'Peace and Freedom Brigades' declared on Sunday that all their calls to the Turkish state have been unanswered and the activists have now decided to join the ranks of the Kurdish HPG guerrillas.

Sure that before they had not any kind of links with the PKK, LOL.

The decision was taken collectively by the activists on Saturday.

Collectively after an order from the Council ?

All our requests were evaluated by the Kurdistan Democratic Confederation and we got positive feedback
.

What is it ? the new "confederation" created by öcalan ? The hell with their change of names and parties, no one remember it.

But the Turkish state, on the other side, never answered us.

How surprising !

To the contrary, day by day they increased their military operations, their repression of the Kurdish people and the isolation of the Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan.

This is the real great tragedy !

The chairman of the Kurdistan Democratic Confederation's (KDC) executive council, Murat Karayilan, held a speech, praising the bravery and the initiative of the young Kurdish activists of the 'Peace and Freedom Brigades'.

OK I have my answer about the Kurdish Confederation. Murat Karayilan. One of the dinosaurus of the Party... a great voice for young ppl...

The human shields have been in the Medya Defense Zones (MDZ) since August 10 this year. A majority of the human shields have been struggling since the beginning of the Turkish military operations in 2004, touring war zones in northern Kurdistan (southeastern Turkey) and calling to both sides to declare a cease fire and start a dialog. Every camp they set up in the war zones were raided by Turkish soldiers and they were taken to military bases and many of them were subjected to torture for 'sympathizing with terrorists'.

It reminds me in 1999 or 2000 ? some teams were sent by the PKK to surrender themselves in Turkey as "Peace delegations" to promote the Cease-fired. Turks just arrested them and that's all.

Yeah. They have liberated 3 wolves and 1 bear in mountains?

[/quote]

Conclusion : poor young silly people :(

Absolutely no link with Murat Karayilan, leader of PKK. No sorry KADEK. No sorry Kongra Gel. Ah, someone told me it's PKK again.

They have always a special talent for finding their names... I remember the federation in Brussels : KON-KURDS.

(For non-French speakers : KON is the phonetic way to say : CON = assholes...

But we have too the "Neo-Cons" in America, who make laugh in France...

Yeah "Neo-cons" is the bright side of having bush as president of USA :P

KON KURD is for "confederation of kurdish associations in europe" but I met their "representative" in the "KNK" (national congress of kurdistan). Oh by the way during this interview he said "WE" talking about the DEHAP or MED TV, and introduced me to a woman saying she was "our officer for human rights" . Later I learned she was also representative for IHD in Europe.....

I think it is like former HADEP. Sme of members are nice, some others just puppets. The PKK has infiltrated all these organizations.

I don't know when they stop but I remember a furious converstion with an acitivist of LYON-CIMADE in 2000 who insulted us in OFK office because he wanted to make campaign with "Kurdish associations in Europe but not PKK" *cough* against the candidacy of Turkey in UE. It was just before the Helsinky meeting in December. I told him :"Be careful. The PKK has started to make campaign and to involve everybody against that candidacy but Öcalan will change at the end and will order to all Kurds to support Turkey in UE." (No need of yi king for guessing it..) and he does not believe me. I insist : "be careful, you are going to engage yourself in a campaign with Kurds and they will let you alone at the last moment, and will make campaign FOR the Turkish candidacy..."

He left us very angry, but at the end, did happened what should happened...

His supreme argument :"In don't care of policy, I am a militant of Human's rights."

Yeah. But it doesn't prevent to THINK.
