Hello guys
This is one of the funniest pic I'ev ever seen
if you read the two parts of this sentence in kurdish then it makes a question .

it's " Tir Ki ye ? " which means in English " who is " farting "? " ?
however if you read it as a word " Tirkiye " this is how " turkey " is written in Kurdish

In most Iranian languages "ter"/"terr" or "tir"/"tirr" mean "fart". In Kurdish (all variations) "tir" means "fart". If you have heard of "tr" it's just becuz Sorani speaking Kurds are not always aware of latin script since they write in Iranificated form of Arabic script. So they may write the original "tir" as "tr". I though you would grasp it after all the time spending here my smartie! :o

[[So abbreviation for it even means ''fart'' too?]] < What do you exactly mean?! Are not "abbreviations" always equal to the complete word?!! Although in this case you were wrong and it wasnt an abbreviation just a miss-type, but what did you say exactly means: "abbreviations meaning same as the complete words, it's funny!"  I though you're smart! What happended to you?!! :?

Oops! I wasn't descriptive enough. I meant the international abbreviation for Türkiye is TR, so even when the international abbreviation is used it still reads as ''Fart'' in Sorani dialect. Smartie? I actually think you are more intelligent, especially on the subject of Linguistics. ;)

Yea the fez was banned back in 1925. Also they're making fun of the bağlama. There are some realy great bağlama virtuosos like Arif Sağ, Neşet Ertaş, Çetin Akdeniz, Erol Parlak and the late Ali Ekber... I suggest you Kurds give them a listen. ;)
The late Kurd Hasret Gültekin was awesome as well.
