Russia to save Syria?

I wonder why russia is paying the costs to save syria from every threat ?

please dont tell me becasue syria is socialist ...

because Apo was socialist too ..but Russia didnt even let Apo to stay in Russia and forwarded him to Itally and then Greece and then Kenya and now in prision .

and I guess Apo was more socialist than assad ...


normally russia do it for Ecnomca benefits , for example in Russia's supporting Iraq there was Oil ! that Russia recived from iraq...

in Russia's supporting Iran , it is caspian Sear .

you know IRan used to have have 50% of the caspian sea in Shah's time but now Iran has 20% of the Sea and has left the other 30% to russia...

but what russia is backing syria ... ? what syria has for russia?
