Turkey want to invade Syria

PostAuthor: Welato_21 » Tue Nov 08, 2011 2:41 pm

Turkish officials have told Western countries that Turkey might launch a military operation in Syria's north to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad's regime, a Kuwaiti newspaper reported on Monday.

“Turkey informed Britain, France, Italy, Germany and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) leadership of the possibility that it would launch an offensive in … Aleppo, Homs, Hama and Latakia,” As-Seyassah daily quoted an unnamed British officials as saying, according to the Lebanese news website nowlebanon.com.

Do you think it will be good for Kurds if Turkey declare war against Syria?

Turkey is so paranoid so scared about Kurds that their anti Kurdish politics is the only thing they can think about.

LOL LOL LOL they want to invade us? Western Kurdistan? Boy let them try and we'll show them that having the largest military budget in the region doesn't count for anything. They don't want to overthrow Assad. They want to overthrow us Kurds in western Kurdistan and secure that part, to stop kurdish nationalism.

Oh and to your question. No I don't think invading Syria is good for the Kurds, maybe it will make turkish forces in the area more vunerable for PKK attacks, but thats it in my opinion.

I think it is a possibility , but turkey will never get into syria alone . It will most probably spear head NATO in removing Asad's regime .

I don't doubt that there is a strong connection between the empty promises of the Syrian regime and the Turkish regime's sudden interest in moving troops into Syria, but we mustn't ignore NATO as a factor.

Also: If they do it, I have to say that they would suddenly be seeing more Kurdish flags than before. The promised autonomy by a police state is nothing compared to what Kurds in Syria will be after once the regime falls. Unless of course Turkey has designs to occupy Syria permanently, but again, look at Iraq: Turkey has pretty much been forced to accept a de facto Kurdish state on their border. Even when Turkish troops are there, the Kurdish flag is still flying and Kurdish is still the official language. So from this perspective the Turkish regime should want Syria to remain as it is. But regardless, the regime will fall, no matter what Saudi Arabia, "Israel", Iran, the US, Russia, China or Turkey have to say about it. Their days are numbered.

Nato will not bomb Syria as they didt like Libya but they will support the rebel with weapons or maybe they will block Syrian aircrafts to fly.
