Hey - my friend - don't be so naiv - do you think Kurds would stay in Iraq if they were given the choice??? They proved you wrong twice... They wanna get OUT of Iraq...

Their leaders sure don't seem to want to get out anytime soon. Anyways ;) if and when a referendum takes place believe me I will support the decision that the Kurds choose to make even if I wouldn't like to see the Kurds break away from my country. HOWEVER, meanwhile we still do share the same land and the Kurds have an equal say in the future flag of Iraq as other Iraqi citizens. You should just concentrate on your area/ "occupying" government for the time being my friend because the way it looks to me, you still need a few light years to attain what the Kurds of Iraq have through decades of struggle with minimal outside help. As I saw the proceedings of the Iraqi Kurdistan parliament on TV I must say I have nothing but admiration for what they have strived for and finally gained. I think it's a shame that you and others are dissing great men like Talabani and Barzani because without them all this would have not happened.

You know...I have to lend some support for iraqidon on that observation. Like some say you don't always get the cards you want to play with, and I think Talabani and Barzani are playing the cards they have the best way they can. They have worked long and hard for that, and tried many paths that were dead ends in their lives, but they never gave up...they succeeded, even if it is not perfect. I only hope that we all have the energy, the determination and the talent to keep trying as long as they have.

This is SO clichè - You Arabs, Persians and Turks have been saying these type of things for centuries JUST TO KEEP US UNDER CONTROLL...

I WILL NOT DO SUCH STUPIDITY AND DIVIDE KURDISTAN INTO THIS AND THAT PART!

And you have NO idea what a Kurd feels - Kurdistan is NOT Iraq nor is it ANY others BUT the Kurds... I am from KURDISTAN - I AM NOT FROM "IRANIAN" KURDISTAN.. and you are just playing the same cards as SADDAM AND ATATURK hvv played - DIVIDE AND QONQUER!...

Nobody here has said any bad thing about Mam Jelal nor have they said anything bad about Kak Barzanî - They are our leaders - and we respect them VERY much for what they have done and will do for us - but as an outsider - Arabs/Turks and Persians don't understand that it is legetimate to critsize a leader - We can SEE what Arab countries are like - you don't even have the RIGHT to critisize... So don't come her telling ME what I should should not say about MY leaders and MY people - only thing I DO say is LONG LIVEKURDS AND KURDISTAN! DOWN WITH THE MURDERERS AND OPPRESSORS!

Yeah, I can see that point of view too. It's tough to look from the outside in, but sometimes it's also easier to see the pro's and con's to an issue. Both opinions are needed to arrive at a reasonable observation.

No, because the Brits.. made strange borderlines.. which aren't natural... all etnicities and religions mixed up together. I wonder why  ..

"divide and rule"

Are you sure ? Go and read the topics in the Kurdistan forum

As I said if you are not satisfied with what the Iraqi Kurdish leaders have done - how about coming up with a leader from your own area. Or from the millions of Kurds worldwide there is only Talabani and Barzani ?? I know you see the Kurds as one but for me Massoud and Jalal are Iraqi because they are in the Iraqi government and therefore represent me. Sorry if that offends you but this is how I feel.

Yes you are right it was wiser for them to remain at war with the rest of the population, plunge into a civil war and continue the eternal blood-shed.

If there were no racists/nationalistic/tirannical Arabs/Persians & Turks that wouldn't be necessary. And about referendum.. there was already A referendum 98.8% voted for indepence.. I still wonder why they voted for PUK/KDp, probably because they are used to it.

And PUK/KDP says it isn't realistic? Why.. for the things I said before.. If Iraq becomes "democratic" the Kurds must GET Kurdistan.

IRAQIDON -

Didn't you read my post? I said - we don't critisize them couse we HATE them - we critisize them cause we love them ;) And therefor we must not sit and let them be played by Arabs Persian and Turks.. sometimes they are tricked into doing things... They are played up against eachother to as Welatêmïr said: DIVIDE & RULE...

Right
I know you see the Kurds as one but for me Massoud and Jalal are Iraqi because they are in the Iraqi government

And that is how we have been viewed not only by you... but by ALL Arabs Persian and Turks - as four distinct groups... and they play us up against eachother... We don't WANNA be in Iraq, Turkey, Iran and Syria - WE ARE FORCED TO!

ASK KAK MESÛD OR JELAL - They are after all in YOUR National Assembly - do they want independence??? It's more like a rhetorical question - they want to - but right now I'll tell you what they are doing: politics!

The want to annex ALL Southern Kurdistani regions before they declare independence... ;) Whih is quite smart - they will do this by legal way instead of fighting for it :D¨

So I am VERY PROUD OF OUR LEADERS- DON*T YOU THINK OTHERWISE ;)
