Welcome To Roj Bash Kurdistan

what was the reason for america to go war with iraq??

A place to talk about domestic politics in Middle East (Iran, Iraq , Turkey, Syria) Also includes topics about Assyrian, Armenian, Chaldean .

PostAuthor: Vladimir » Tue Sep 13, 2005 8:34 am

Talk of war against Iraq is a "colossal error", because the April 2003 attack had as it's target the bloody regime of Saddam Hussein.

You must blame terrorism on Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the UAE who facilitate the passage of terrorists towards Iraq and did not offer Iraq support.
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

To add to Kak Vladimir's post...

Don't forget that while the insurgents are making a mess today, Saddam was brutly murdering a number of people every single day. I think we should be past the acceptance or disapproval of this war because we are far past that debate. It's already happened and all we can do now is look for some sort of benefits from it keeping in mind that large parts of Southern Kurdistan have been freed as a result of the war.

In a book by Brendan O'Leary, John McGarry and Xaled Salih, they say they "regretted the war's lack of strict conformity to the standards of international law. But unlike critics of the war, [we] look forward to the termination of the political institutions of the Ba'athist Iraq and the opportunities that would create for a democratic and just reconstruction."

Although the war has indeed created a sort of "mess", it was inevitable that Saddam be removed from power..and although this path may have not been the best, it has already passed and it's time to search hard for Kurdistan's benefit.

Actually brother - it is PROVED that LESS people die EACH DAY NOW than they did BEFORE Saddam was removed...

That is statistically proved...

The war was a GOOD thing... Kurds are better FOR it than AGAINST it... We have become the Kings of Iraq - not Arabs... So don't nag about being a winner - would you rather we live on our knees the rest of our lives and DIE on our knees? Or would you die standing PROUD and with a content heart knowing you DID what was expected of you - To fight for Kurdistan?

Kaka, I agree with you. Although I am not aware of any statistic, I believe it... and this is the reason I stated not to forget that "Saddam was brutly murdering a number of people every single day".

LOL  Sorry kake - I was aiming my "naging about being a winner" at the other people here...

The statistics I read from News they published at Kurdishmedia - hey by the way - how come I can't load their site? (Kurdish media I mean)

I mostly agree with what you say bira! (Great minds think alike :P )

please if you want to talk of the history say babylonians and meds and some rebels cause if you say only meds thats false and if meds would only go for it they never had a chance against the assyrian empire.

but hahahahahahahaha assyrian tyrants we´ll come back lol.

just not as tyrants

but i have to say if my forfathers were so brutal than its good what happend i dont want any one to opress other people but you cant compare something what happend before 2500 years ago with the situation of now.

long life the freedom and peace alah u akbar
