Talish People in Iran. Dyaoko do you know about them?

They don't seem to be kurdish but they're certainly apparented...

anyone knwo about them? Visit the website there is a lot of informations but I don't really have time today...

These ancient Western Iranians populations are all apparented. That is right that Azerbayjan was "turcized" at a late period, between 15th-16th century...

They say that their language is Iranian, near to pehlevi but unfortunately they don't give any example.

I had a taleshi teacher... their language is diffrent than Kurdish, but they are Sunni (unlike other iranians and like kurds) .

Maybe not all including your Talysh teacher, but the majority of the Talysh population, from what I know, are Shiite Muslims.

Heval Tomjez, from my knowledge, they are another Indo-Iranian tribe whose language is very close to both Kurdish and Farsi. They mostly live near the Azerbaijan border with Iran, and they identify themselves as a distinct people from the Azeri's because of their Indo-Iranian background.

I guess Talesh is near Caspian Sea not Azerbaigoo... or may be i mixed up Talesh with something else...

Near talesh there is a city called "Deh-Kurd" (Kurd village )

No, I believe they are near both so you are probably right with that. I am sure there are a good number of Talysh people who are Sunni, but to my knowledge, the majority are Shiite.
