Breaking: Assassination attempt on pro-Kurdish HDP co-chair Demirtas in Amed

AMED (ANF) HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş was targeted by an assassination attempt while travelling in his official car in Kurdish capital of Amed (Diyarbakir), Turkey, late Sunday evening.

Speaking to Amsterdam base Kurdish ANF News Agency, Demirtaş reported a bullet mark on the rear window of his bulletproof official car. HDP co-chair said the bullet mark on his head level was noticed by his guards after getting off the car, while none of them heard a gunshot.

Demirtaş said his official car has been taken to the criminal department of police directorate for an analysis, adding that no cartridge bullet has been encountered.
