ERBIL, August 30 (AKnews) – Brazilian player Fabiano Luis has joined Duhok FC to play in the Iraqi elite football league, announced the club’s management in a special ceremony.
Duhok Club signed a contract with the player without disclosing the value of the deal.
Duhok FC secretary Hussein Khaled said: “The purpose of the contract is to strengthen the club in the Iraqi football league. Also the Brazilian can play in the Asian Football Cup in the coming season.
Fabiano commented: "I will try my best with Duhok Club and will use all efforts to lead the club to victory and make the fans happy. I hope I can reach the level of expectation."
Fabiano is 29 year old. He has played for a number of Brazilian clubs and played for the Portuguese Academy team last year.
DuhoK FC took second place in the Iraq elite football league in the season 2011-12.
