100% preperation for independence. the pipeline, the travel to europa and USA and new equipment, that says all. i am sure, only 1-2 year southkurdistan will be independent.

Jabar Yawar told the Kurdish channel (nrt) that, "so far 12 brigades of Peshmerga have been unified which has received full training and equipments".

"there are 10 more brigades that will be unified by the end of the year as demanded by President of Kurdistan Massoud Barzani". he stated.

He also revealed that KRG has allocated the required budget for these brigades .

I remember they said everything will be unified in 45 days. I know the other 4 ministers were unified, but how about the peshmerge army, and how many brigades are there in total?

they were split by puk and pdk after the civil war , but now they are unified under the Peshmerga ministry .

yes indeed , there are many other things under way for the independence , oil pipelines is another big project .

i am not too sure but i would say its about 300,000 , as originally there were that much before the unification . .

Within the scope of the technical training of Peshmerga , Peshmerga Ministry completes a two weeks training course for the drivers operating military cranes, that the ministry has purchased.

Colonel Jasm Qadir, course commander announced that : "on an international standard , the 4th training course for operation of military cranes has started".

"the course started on the 5th and ends on the 22nd of May, for which (34) drivers were trained on operating these cranes , and they are going to be added to the merchandized brigades of Peshemrga". he added

Worth mentioning the course was taught by a US and Korean technical team, and so far these cranes have been supplied to (4) brigades of Peshmerga.
