PYD co-chair Salih Müslim has been denied permission to enter in South Kürdistan.
Müslim went to Rojava to join the funeral of his son Şervan (who was a member of the YPG, People's Defense Units) who lost his life in clashes. 
It is understood that Müslim was returning to the Kurdistan Federal Region to continue his diplomatic work. Authorities has denied him permission to enter the country.

Remzi Kartal, President of KONGRA GEL (People’s Congress of Kurdistan), spoke to Sterk TV about the prevention of PYD (Democratic Union Party) co-chair Salih Müslim from entering in South Kurdistan, Kurdistan Federal Region, on 17 October.

Kartal pointed out that the KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) denied Muslim permission for entering South Kurdistan because of its alliance with Turkey.

KONGRA GEL president stressed that this attitude was not aimed at Saleh Muslim himself alone but also meant being party to the attacks targeting Kurds in Rojava. Kartal said the purpose of this attitude was to prevent Kurds from going to Geneva, adding that; “This is an unacceptable attitude that will harm the common interests of the Kurdish people. The government of south Kurdistan cannot evade this responsibility.”

BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) parliamentary group deputy chair Pervin Buldan, who also responded strongly to the KDP, pointed out that this hindrance meant building a barrier to the unity and togetherness of Kurds, and demanded the removal of the obstacles to entering in south Kurdistan.

Buldan called attention to the importance of the unity and togetherness of Kurds in the current process, and underlined that Turkey was behind this hindrance.

TEV-DEM executive Hüseyin Çaviş also underlined that the prevention of Muslim was not independent from the policies of Turkey against Kurds, adding that the KDP and the AKP government tried to prevent the unity among Kurds but will never achieve this purpose of theirs.

I could not agree more . Salih muslim is not a peaceful cat looking to have some peace and quiet in southern Kurdistan . He is trouble maker and like PKK he thinks he own southern Kurdistan . His recent speeches demeaning KRG and making all sort of accusation towards KDP and all political parties in western Kurdistan is nothing short of dictatorship mentality .
PYD's alliance with Goran /Iraq and Iran is very very troubling and will destabilize KRG region if measures are not taken . PYD does not allow the entry of even ordinary kurds from south and west to Western Kurdistan Yet they want to make southern Kurdistan a base for their political activities . Thanks , but NO .

Personally , I think he learn to have some respect for others , because kurdistan does not belong to PKK/PYD .

Hopefully this will blow away in a few days, and he will go to SK. Because this is very worrying and a blow to unity. Because it looks like the news is true after all. So maybe KRG is trying to send a message because of what you are saying..

Which unity ? There have never been unity in Western Kurdistan

And 'unity' for the PKK means : be with us or die.

I want to take sides, but denying the top Kurdish leader in WK permission to enter SK is a blow to the Kurdsh nation in general, and it is very negative and beyond just playing politics of these parties.

I will tell you this from personal experience . You can never ever negotiate with PKK and their affiliates period . Everyone is a turkish agent in their view unless he gives them his house , his car , his money , his wife and children and even then ,he will be suspect .

PYD/PKK are intentionally sabotaging Kurdish hope in achieving anything in western kurdistan or establishing any sort of unity among kurds . Civil war is a certainty if PYD continue to refuse sharing power post-Assad era

Remzi Kartal is one of the few Kurdish political figures who I know to be really truthful - I have absolutely no doubt that his version of events however confusing they may be are correct

KRG answer : If Muslim want to travel, he can use the roads of Ankara, Tehran, Damascus and Bagdad.

After all, before that, he travelled and visited all these good friendly countries. So why suddenly he needs KRD hospitality ?

it is a temporary case i wish that it was parmenent
this decision at this time for every one i wish that it was just for saleh muslem
i havn't read what u all have wrote but
saleh muslim don't need to go to K F R . he used to go to damascus , ankara ......etc
why he wan't to go to K F R ?!
i wan't to say that if saleh muslem and his gunmen stayed in WK
there will be no WK because there will be no kurds in W K

If Mr. Muslim and YPG left WK, then who would you rather see take over??

There is something in what freekurd2013 wrote - many of the people fighting on all sides of the conflict have no actual connection with Syria - and many indigenous Kurds who have left do not feel that they have anything to go back to

If freekurd2013 is actually in Syria then he is far better able to know what is happening than any of us are - sadly his English is limited and very little information is coming out of Syria.
