PostAuthor: Dilsad » Sun Jul 03, 2005 5:12 am

Finally Islam is re-becoming the religion it once was...
One of tolerance and debate...

I am SOOO glad to see an openly gay Imam...

Hopefully he won't get killed by some crazy people.....

Don't you remeber what they did to that director in Holland who made a film about islamic society and had a lot of nakedness in it? (Haven't see the film myself though)...

I am talking about the religion that was a light during the dark european age...
i asm talking about the religion that when the european kings (like in france) had no "toilets" in their castle ...during that Time our religion helped bring up such modern institution as the first University (in Baghdad)...or modern medecine or hospitals...
These were the times where islam was very tolerant...and openly talked about aborption and sexuality...

If you look historically, the extreme islam came up after colonialism...where it was used as a nationalistic tool to unify and kick out the occupiers.
Before colonial time, Islam was very differnet from what we know.

In the Qur'an it says - loosely quoted: "When a man mounts another man - Gods kingdom trembles"... Or something like that------>

God gives all humans ONE HUGE task in this life... The task can be a many things ----- to complete your task can' be your ticket out of this hell we call " Earth "

It can be:

a) Physical Task: You are given a special handicap ------> Like yo uare born blind or your left foot is blown up by a mine etc.
b) Mental Task: You are given a mental handicap ------> you are attracted to the same sex, or you have a mental sickness...etc

A gay guy should go through his life without acting upon his feelings of lust towards men... And vice versa for a woman....

As long as he doesn't commit sexual acts with another man he has proven himself worthy of Gods trust and love... (OF course apart from this he must not: kill, rape, steal etc... )

Excuse me for saying so - but these people who take such provoking steps will feel the wrath of GOD on the day of judgement... Hey - I don't wanna be a fanatic or anything - but the Quran, Bible AND the Tora all which are GOD's books clearly state the prohibition to practise regarding gay/lesbians etc....

These people who are working for these organizations and who are "trying" to make the world a better place for gay/lesbian muslims - they will find that in the next life (which is the important and final life) they will be judged by GOD - not me, not my friends and certainly nobody else either... GOD will judge us and people who are muslim and gay might (if they have acted upon it) be judged harshly - but those who have worked for the "normalization" of gayness in Islam will certainly be punished more than any gay practising muslim...

But still I believe that to accept Islam means that you subordinate yourself to the will and wishes of God - so I think naturally Christian and Jewish gay practising men and women will be judged even more because they didn't embrace Islam... On the other hand - AT LEAST THEY ALSO BELIEVE IN GOD - the worst will be done upon atheist gay practisers...

But - before you alll think I am the son-in-law of OSAMA or somthing I just wanna say that I am only trying to be objective and explain the situation... These things are not how I wish they would be... But it is the wish of GOD - and no arguing with that...

but is it really the wish of GOD?

And I believe you are hiding behind the shield of "oh it is GOD's will" to say what you think...don't you?

Just admit you are homophobe Diri...

Me homophobe? Hahahaha    That would be contradictory ;)

No - I am not homophobe... I have gay friends... I don't mind them being gay and lusting for me - as some have said... But I tell them it is wrong when they say such things ;)

Remind me of people that used to say "oh I have black friends...I know that one...he is very nice..."

Or like the joke that is said in france:
"oh non je ne suis pas raciste...mon chien est noir"
"oh I'm not raciste, my dog is black" ;)

So it doesn't really matter if you have or not one or 10 gay friend, what matters is your acts and where you stand for.

I do hope you are not homophobe though...

Homophobe? Ha!

Well - let me ask you - where do you stand regarding homosexuals? Do you think it is right for them to act upon their sexual lust?

I am very liberal in such matters - I don't see the point in being narrow-minded about the realities of life - A gay person is my friend ANY DAY! ;) I have no problems with them at all - I respect them and expect them to respect me back... The truth is that I have GOOD friends that are gay - but it's just not a matter for us - we don't bring it up every few seconds.. They have chosen their life... So who am I to judge them? I would never do that... How would that make me look? (Rhetorical question  )

The truth is that God makes ALL humans flawed--- Nobody is perfect... Can I ask you something? Have you heard the saying : "All handsome men are gay"... See they are very goodlooking in general obviously since there is such a saying among the Western peoples... So they would be perfect if they hadn't been gay ;)

God gives the hardest task of all to those God loves the most ;)
