Concerning the places in Kurdistan, it depends if you like big cities, middle-sized cities, villages, etc. I rather middle cities or even villages :-D

I LOVE the countryside, fresh air, the wildlife. Is there any wildlife in Kurdistan?

I would rather like to live on the outskirts of a town, perhaps a farm :D

Are there any poisonous spiders or snakes in Kurdistan?

Wildlife ? You have eagles, hawks, wolves, panthers, bears, boars, ibex, etc. but in high mountains.

There are LOVELY donkeys :x , big shepherd's dogs, many goats and sheep, cows…

There are not large and big suburbans areas, so not far from cities, you arrive soon in small towns or villages in the country. And of course surrendered by splendid mountains. But many places have small shops.

There are mortal snakes, big venomous spiders :D , scorpios, but if you have good shoes (not tongs with naked toes) and if you be careful to not disturb beasts living under stones or in bushes, there is no problems.

In fact the most dangerous specie in Kurdistan are drivers :ymdevil:

So you have phobia of spiders ? Well, Alaska is good for you… :p

I'm joking. I know people who are afraid of spiders who are living very well in Kurdistan. Big venomous spiders are only in wild places, where they are living in mouses's hole, or old houses built in earth. In ordinary Kurdish houses, just ordinary spiders as in Europe.

Sometimes I think that I am more afraid of hurting spiders than anything else 8-}

I used to like spiders when I was a child :D

So if I lived in Kurdistan I would have to remain indoors and not go wandering through the countryside :-o

But I like the countryside :((

Think that I will stay where I am :ymhug:

Fortunately, none anywhere near as big as camel spiders, just little friendly ones that I pick up in my bug catcher

Most spiders in England do not grow much bigger than this:

The only time I saw a big spider in a mouse hole was in Dersim, next to the river Munzur. Never saw one in houses. But I know that old places in Erbil, around the Citadel, built in earth and brick, are invaded by scorpions and spiders. But in modern house, not really, there are only quiet normal domestic spiders.

or you have to find a pet which is also a good hunter of spiders… :-?

I almost forgot all about the scorpions

If I had the money I could build a lovely big modern house with a MOAT around it :))
