Hey sarah

Did you ever follow up the idea of going to Kurdistan?.

A good company i used before where trailfinders, i think they may have a website, or you can find their number in the phone book, they have an office in Birmingham if you are near there?
They do tailormade trips, so maybe they can help you, its worth a try i guess

Thanks for that company I will have a look at it. I still really want to travel to Kurdistan but I will be on my own so I thought an organised tour would be good. Have u travelled alone before?

Hiya sarah
yep ive travelled alone to turkey and egypt many times but i have always been met at the airport by friends.

The only thing i will suggest is that as you are travelling to a muslim country, just try to respect their culture. I dont know what Kurdistan is like, or even if it can be really classed as a holiday resort as we know them, by that i mean spain or greece and the like.

When in Egypt, i did cover my hair, and as i was with an egyptian guy and it was his home town, i didnt want to do anything that would bring shame on his family. the fact that i was foreign made everyone want to come and say hi, and we got invited to dinner alot, as they dont see many foreigners there, in fact i was the only one i ever saw in the time i was there.
