English - Kurdish Sorani (Please???)

PostAuthor: Prinny20 » Fri Sep 03, 2010 8:38 pm

I am only just beginning to learn Kurdish. Could somebody please tell me sorani translation of a few basic words or phrases with pronounciation to get me started?

Just things like:

Hi how are you? (I know Choni Bashe but not sure how to spell it?)
Good morning
Goodnight
It's nice to meet you
i cant wait to see you
i want to be with you forever
i miss you
you are my life/you are my everything
What are you doing today?
Are you feeling better today?
I am worried about you
i can't wait to kiss you

Someone gave me Xoshm aweit azizm meaning i love you sweetheart, is this right?

And anything else you think might be useful for me to know?

Zor Supas :)

i miss you - Dlem bot tanga
you are my life/you are my everything - ato hamo shteki mni
What are you doing today? - Awro chi dakey?

KAK IDEAS - your second language? which is the first then?

sorani is my third language  (but first in my heart) and i have some suggestions, if i am wrong feel free to correct me my brothers and sisters.

good night - shaw shad, shaw bash
to make it easier for "nice to meet you" - we can say just - xosh (khosh) halim
i cant wait to see you - be aramm tom bbini ?????? (i am trying, ok? :D )
i want to be with you forever - damawe tom lagal bm heta hetai (this is my version of sorani of course  - more easy than official one).
i cant wait to kiss you - be aramm tom mach bka (???? - as well :D )

for "today" i use the word - "imro".

but kak ideas is right - in kurdish language people express feeling different way. few days ago we wrote some of taht stuff for one girl, so if you search in language section you should find some useful phrases.

now your turn my original sorani brothers :D

P.S. i found that topic for you - viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5234

I've been in the UK since I was a small kid, I've never learned kurdish at school or anything of such, I learned it at home. English is my first language, Kurdish is my mother tongue.
