I need some help with the pronunciation of two Kurdish names. Diyar and Shivan/Shiwan. How are they pronounced in Sorani and Kurmanji?

Diyar is pronounced the same way in sorani and kurmanji and it is pronounced exactly the way it is written .

Shivan will be Kurmanji and Shwan will be sorani .

Now, he is at home and the family said that it is girl-name, because their girl-neighbour have this name. I Googled and it seemed to be a surname/family name rather than a first name.

I suggest you use facebook and see if there are many boys with the name

It is Poland. The real name is Feliks, but very often used Felek, especially to children. This name is not very popular, but if Felek exists in both countries is very good for me.
