Sorry - MY BAD - What I meant was naturally that the SORANÎ SPEAKERS - mixed their Kurdî with Farsî and Erebî...

They aren't the most popular... You MUST however have heard of Kemkaran - loveable music! Why did you ask about Sirvan though?

Well my next question was going to be... are they from Ormiye? They have a song dedicated to Ormiye.

Okey- we can clear that up - give me all the info you have about Sirvan - then we may find out if they are... Because I am not 100 % where I have heard Sirvan from... Nor where they are from.. So how many are there in the group? And is the lead singer a man or woman? Etc etc etc...

Well I know that there are four members and two of them (a woman and a man) usually are the ones that sing. So you've heard their music before? They have a lot of good songs...

Okey... I can't think of any song I might have heard from them - I seem to have problems locating them in my mind - The name is known - but the music... hmmm... Do you have the names of any of their songs, or even some lines from their popular songs - and I wonder - do they speak Shikakî dialect?

I am not sure. I am not quite sure which one of their songs are popular. One day I was searching through my tapes and I found their music. Someone must have given to me a long time ago. Couldn't really find their music anywhere else, then when I visited Kurdistan, I bought some albums of theirs...

They were good! And these are probably "old" songs they sung... So I envy you for buying their CD's If I ever went to Kurdistan I would buy so many CD's I would have no room to carry my clothes back home
They have two songs of Chopî! - GREAT! I haven't heard those from her before!
The one called "Eman Eman Yareman" - WOOOOW! It is superb! She has such a strong vocal! I absolutly ADORE her voice... She is the Kurdish Celine Dion (Or easily any other strong English vocal)...

Yeah, they have a lot of really good songs. I don't know why they aren't more popular. Maybe their distribution plan just isn't good...
I bought a whole lot of CDs, filled up my backpack while I was there. Somewhere around 25 to 30 CDs

I vote Sorani!
All my Kurdish friends are from north Kurdistan and they all speak Kurmanji, which is very similar to Sorani so i understand it with no probs.
In Kurmanji they say the "V" whereas in Soran we say the "W" .e.g
Kurmanji: Vallah
Sorani: Wallah
Zaza is slightly similar to Kurmaji but dayymm its hard to understand!
