What does mean 'la rayewe' ? Hejar used it to translate the word 'maset' in a Cizîrî's poem and I don't understand both of these in ghazal 5 : maset ke-ban fi ruba' … ? like a myrbolan-tree in the hill.

Do you have the original sentence in Sorani ?

I could be wrong , but "la rayewe" is not kurdish word , but a Kurdified arabic word derived from the arabic word "راي ' which means " in my view " or " the way I see it "

it is how Hejar translated 'mast'

Neyşekera spî dest û zend
Zanim mecala name xwend
Lêvan tebessum kir ji qend
Maset ke-banin fî ruba

He just said : Maset = larayewe (or La rayewe).

It could be that meaning : the smiling sweet lips Beloved appear to him as a Benzoin tree in the hill (sounds weird like compliment but these sufis are crazy :-D )
