But does anyone know the meaning of the name ??

Hey brother...

Ferhad: FERHAT in Kurdish - is: " FER"= "Greatness" - "HAT"= "Arrived" -

Ergo FERHAT means: "Arrival of Greatness" or "Arrival of the Great" as it is when talking about a person or sepsific object...

I hope this answers your question, brother... May I ask you why you wanted to know (if other than pure pleasure for knowledge)?

Kardox, are you familiar with the story Ferhad and Shirin? The name, Ferhad, is said to have originated during that time when an architect/carpenter from East Asia was hired to work in Kurdistan's kingdom in Kirmashan and fell in love with Shirin. They named him Ferhad - "Arrival of the Great" - for the great work he brought with him and the love he brought for Shirin.
