Selamun Alaykum dear Kurdophones,

I would like to ask the following question: why does Melaye Jizri use "kit" instead of "kir"?

Ku katib dêmî cedwel kit şikeste xet muselsel kit

Ji yek herfan mufessel kit kî yê vê muşkilê hel kit

Dizanî rûd û ‘ûd ewwel çi tavêtin surûd ewwel

“Ki cişq asan numûd ewwel Welê uftad-i muşkilha”

If one says this is a dialect he is actually saying - in Kurmanji - kir ("did"), then why does he use kir in another
place in his diwan?

It's a puzzle.......

They say in Behdini the verb for "he will be" is dibit instead of the kurmanji dibe.
But the text doesn't make sense if kit is dike.
Can anyone help me?

Yusuf

Kit in Kurmanji means "put " like in:
sekir kit nav aveda .

i think it shortening of bikêt or bike in other dialects. like example: ji hev ke (open it), virda ke (bring it here), vershê ke (save it)
