I suppose that Nermîn comes from "nerm" : tender, soft, gentle. For example if you are "dilnerm" you have a kind heart.

It would be stupid and racist to deny turkish culture. It is not people's fault if they have stupid state ideology.

as pilling said Nerm means Soft Nermin means somebody witth soft heart
it can have the meaning of Sexy ! Nermin [somebody with soft body]
without any dobth Nermin is a kurdish name.
there are many simmilar names in kurdish like Shermin [means Shamey]
Ferdin[male name] , herdin , blah blah-in
