May be Kurds need first to tackle the problem with Kurdish Alphabet before getting to any translating to so many different Kurdish writing system. There are so many open sources and volunteering services around WWW, but how much energy do we have to put in for each project and who are the target users? A Kurd from Wirmé, Kirmashan, Xurasan, Frankfurt, London, Silémaní, in what way should I cross my message? It is time to write in Kurdish with Unified Kurdish http://www.KurdishAcademy.org

But that alphabet is not "perfect"... it is not any better than what has been used since early 1900 from Bedirxans style... Only problem on the net with that alphabet is that you can't write the alphabets "ch" and "sh" in a single alphabet... and besides - the alphabet you are talking about has three ways of writing the "u" : U - Ù and Ù with the " ` " turned the other way... what is that for?

It looks very much like the Bedirxan version BUT instead of writing CH they have written C only and then to make the C they have used the J... and JH for the J... Did I make sense? Or -more like - do you understand what I mean?

THis is so great!

I just signed up :)

May be we can once a week post one translation on this forum and have everyone participate...one word a week or if we're good one a day...that's a lot!

The main search page need a remaining 277 translation...so one a day or a week would be helpful! what do you all think?

D.

I think that is a great idea Dilshad... I was "working" with that site too - and I found it too chaotic and confusing - there were so many versions of dialects there - some of the words where just---- > well - hard to get...

But let's do it - will you do the honours? One word a day is good... :D

hey ... Guys Common ! Persian Gmail is ready ! radio farda said , the persian tranlsation of gmail completed and soon we will gmail in persian..

i wish KRG could give us some help to translate google into kurdish
or At least KRG could send a letter to google...

like they can have kurdish google in two script both arabic and latin.

it is radicoulous to say we jsut have it in arabic script or Latin ...it is more logical to have both of them...

(most of the kurdistan news papres are in arabic script so..)

plz somebody do smeothing....we must have Gmail in kurdish
