today ahmadni nejad changed the former governor of Kurdistan (of iran) , who was set by Khatami .

the new governor of kurdistan province is brother of defence minstery , [and he is not Kurd.]

Probably Iran wants to control more strictly that province after all these riots...

well most of the riots were in West Azerbaican province, you know Mahabad, Serdesht are part of west azerbaijan province in iran.
there was riots in Sine and Seqqez in Kurdistan Province too.

may be they expect a war in West of Iran that they have set Brother of war minster as Governor .
