Aside from all our disagreements on this forum, it is very well-thought out and I'm glad you put your thoughts in an article.

I appreciate it Heval.

To answer your question no I don't think violent riots and molotov cocktail throwing on civilian buses can help.

Peaceful protests yes maybe, but these kind of actions...useless and dangerous for democracy, which is exactly the aim of PKK

Ser Çawan. Well, I was referring more to the armed resistant, but fair enough.

Anyways, here is another view of the situation I put together...

LOL it's you

OK I thought it was clever, makes sense now ;)

I published it on my blog

Well yeah armed resistance....but no guerrilla can win against such an army!

it can only attract repression

war is not the way, kurds need development, human rights, democracy, not "resistance"....in 15 years between 1984 and 1999 kurds gained NOTHING......PKK failed, and doesn't want to admit it

Who attacked?
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

"The woman blew herself up in front of the Yenimahalle mosque near the fountains where the devout wash themselves before prayers, a police official said."

Firstly: PKK officialy doesn't do suicide bombings. When people do suicide bombing it's an individual action.

Secondly: I don't believe the PKK would think it's a good strategy to attack mosques, because Kurds are highly religious.

50% of the bomb attacks is commited by JITEM/MIT (As seen in Silopi and Semdinli), other 40% by PKK (mostly armed attacks) and another 10% by TAK (mostly explosives.

I don't believe the PKK is so foolish enough to attack mosques.

1) yeah PKK attacking mosques, not too much
2) suicide bombing is not their thing
3) Ordu, black sea coast......reeeally can't see what they would do there!. However in this region there are a lot of crazy extreme left terrorist groups.

black sea coast was a stronghold of communist parties in Turkey, I have no source, just 2 years spent in Turkey talking with a few people! let's call that "common knowledge"...

You all may be aware but there seems to be a second or third conflict in the midst of the protests in Northern Kurdistan. I say this because a few days before, there were reports of pro-Turkish Islamic fundamentalists that started rioting in Batman in response to what was labeled as pro-PKK demonstrations. In addition to the report, I saw a video of the fundamentalists screaming “Allahu Akbar”.

I know the attack on the mosque happened in Ordu but perhaps it was some sort of "retaliation" for the events in Batman.

Pkk aim was to create a backslash from Turkish people(not state), so they can enhance or create Turkish-kurdish enemity.(as people)

Blacksea coasts were highly religious and nationalist, so It is best place for provocatian. Also aim of attack was a police funeral.(so say newspaper)
