When I talk about kurdistan in turkish (with people I don't know) I say "guney dogu anadolu" (south east anatolia) and "guney dogu anadolucu" (south east anatolians) for kurds, and "guneydoguandoluca" for Kurdish language: most often they get the fact that I'm totally paying their legs, insulting ataturk and the holy-borders-of-the-republic, and they get angry. Try to be nice with turks.....

Are there a lot of gay turkish men? I have heard of many stories about gay Turkish men bothering my family members at Turkey
..........I have been to turkey many many times and have yet to know any gay men, but im sure there are some out there :?

try to use Kurdistan word in your chat, you will see what happens.
...Up until 6 months ago, i told you i didnt even know kurdistan exsisted, i thought there were only kurds in turkey. This pic i have here i had it on my msn as my display pic, and i asked some of my contacts if they liked it. One turkish girl said she hasnt a problem with it, but another turkish friend did have a problem with it. I went on to tell him that i have a friend from iraq who is kurdish and he blocked me and i didnt speak to him since!!! Ignorant or what

Contest..

I think you can start first Tomjez!
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

90? or maybe 100% of turks were fasist.

I am sure, there are less fasist turks than kurds.(compare DTP vote with MHP, and compare turkish population with kurdish population)

...such as revealing that you're a Kurd.

That is not a huge taboo. If you are talking with friends, and you say I am from diyarbakır, they will already understand you are kurd, and will not bother.(If they are not ultra fasist)

or how do you think, there are almost 100 kurdish people at parliment, and our interior ministery is a kurd?

But If you say, I am kurd, I am kurd, I am kurd to someone you meet new, he wont like it.

He want to know that why are you emphasizing your kurdishness much. Most probably he will think, you are a pkk follower.

So If turks think, kurdish one is loyal to turkey np. If they think, that kurd is not loyal, they will not like it.

But be sure, you wont get a punch or bad reaction because you are calling yourself as kurd.

I am a kurd from kurdistan , (not from turkish occupied kurdistan) so I am not a turkish republic citizen , but I have been "Blessed" by Turks of Turkey many times, they have several times hacked me , they sweared at me , and threthened me ... and ...

how do you say there are more fashist Kurds than turks ? the Fashism in Middle East first was started by Atagoo , then Reza Khan (iran's king) imported that ideology to iran, then Saddam copied atagoo's fashism ideology for arabs ... while kurds started their modern nationalism many years after all of you.

Turkey is the source of racsim in the whole middle east.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then YOU WIN !

why? noone is treated bad because he is only he. did you said them as occupied kurdistan or something like this?

If there is a lot hate against kurdish people, how did this country choose a lot kurdish politicians? how do this people love kurdish(Like ibrahim tatlıses, or mahsun kırmızı gül) artists much? how can be a kurd our interior ministery, at the rise of PKK terrorism.

how do you say there are more fashist Kurds than turks ?

Look what DTP get and mhp get, easy.

Turkey is the source of racsim in the whole middle east.

is this a joke? at ww1, all arabs, turks and kurds have nationalist feelings, dont accuse Turkey for every bad thing.
