Discuss about language(s) in English

Diri wrote:First of all - Kurds and Armenians share common ancestors - such as Urartu, Hurrians and other caucasoid peoples...

These are just theories based on some unreliable studies. Who says you are pure? Genetic bonds don't exist today.

Secondly:

http://www.kurdmedia.com/news.asp?id=11248

WHERE you will find the following line:

Democratic Party of Armenia and Democratic Party of Kurdistan (Iraq) signed a Protocol on cooperation, as a REGNUM correspondent has been informed by head of Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA) Aram Sarkisyan.

Cool, one article that came up this year. Kurdistan and Armenia are both landlocked and are isolated. Maybe just some normal tie, nothing special. For sure they never can ally, not happened in the past, won't happen in the future. Why didn't the Kurds or Armenians make political relations in the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's? So it's just BIASED!

Kurds and Armenians have a common enemy in Turkey...

So do Greeks, Bulgarians, Persians, Cypriots, Arabs and even Russians. Nothing special.

And your allegation that Kurds in Armenia were "betrayed" - what do you mean with that?

Armenia promised the RED KURDISTAN if the Kurds helped fighting Azerbaijan. Kurds did help, but then Armenia crushed the autonomous Kurdish region. Ever heard of Kelbajar?

I think it was a very natural reaction to Kurds helping Turks massacre 1.5 million Armenians... Don't you think? :?
NO, should Israel now oppose everything German, Kurds didn't do the massacre on Kurdish leadership by the way. So no, Armenia does not have the right to do anything against Kurds.

Look at you...

I said: Kurds and Armenians have common ancestors and your reply is - "What makes you think you are pure?"...

I can't discuss with somebody who makes up stories and attatches to me oppinions which I do not hold...

I am not justifying what happened - I am making a point which blindly goes over your head: Armenians did what they had to do - to not be massacred...

And I know very well that it was the Turks who genocided the Armenians - but you and I both know that there were Kurds who participated and swore allegiance to the Turks in return for money and lands...

And I know what Kelbajar and Lachîn are...

I said: Kurds and Armenians have common ancestors and your reply is - "What makes you think you are pure?"...

You cannot know who is your real ancestor and recent studies do not tell the truth about 6000 years ago.
There was also a study that Armenians are not related to any people but they are just ARMENIAN, do not have ancestors and do not share ethnic ties with other peoples. So should we believe this or not? It doesn't make sense to have better relation with a country because it's people happen to have alleged "common ancestors". Japan has better relations with the US than Northern Korea, while Japanese and Koreans belong to SINO people. So this is just "common nonsense".

So does this mean Armenians should have betrayed the Kurds in the late '20's almost 15 years after the genocide started? By your logic, Israel should have killed as much as Germans as Jews that were killed by Germany.

I'll say it again:

I can't discuss with somebody who makes up stories and attatches to me oppinions which I do not hold...

I think you have a very queer way of looking at others oppinions... You automatically draw conclusions on my behalf...

As if I ever asked you to put words in my mouth...

I did not even suggest such a thing as that which you accused me of suggesting...

If this is not your logic........
am not justifying what happened - I am making a point which blindly goes over your head: Armenians did what they had to do - to not be massacred...

But we're done, no rationality and no explanation on my opinions and views, I guess I have a good point. Slaw!

This is a simple breach of communication...

Notice how I am talking about the Armenian genocide? You think I am talking about something else, I think...

My logic is that when Turks genocided Armenians, with the help of some Kurds, the Armenians did what they had to do - to survive... How can you think I am talking about 1029's when I explisitly say "Armenian genocide" and "massacre Armenians"?

:?

The thing with you is, that you have been around on forums for too long, and built up these stereotypes and you put people into boxes... Which in turn is WHY you automatically attatch to me oppinions which I do not hold!

Building straw men, we call it...

This, I do not accept... Do not accuse me of having oppinions which I do not have!!! How annoying isn't that, huh? :?

I suggest you stop drawing your own conclusions on what I say - and instead ASK ME what I mean when something I say can be interpreted in different ways...

Thank you...

You accuse me of that?
I was saying Armenian language is not a world language and you come up with ancestors, history, political ties and more nonsense. You have turned this discussion into a meaningless 'communication breach'. I am not going to stop this discussion here, hope to see you in other topics where you can discuss with a bit more sense.

Accuse you of WHAT?

Can you just LOSE that attitude and start seeing me as ME and not making me owner of some alien oppinions?

Thank you...

Ok Armenian is NOT a world language, Kurd. Nobody said it is. This thread was created by Dyaoko who wanted to learn some Armenian words. What's wrong with that? Just because Armenian is not a "world language" as you call it, does it mean that no one from other countries should learn Armenian or Kurdish for that matter? I want to start learning Kurdish. As the saying goes in Armenian "Inchkan lezu gites, aynkan mart es." The translation in English is (although it might not sound right in English) "As many languages you know, you are that much of a person" If anyone would tell me that I should not learn Kurdish, because it is NOT a "world language". I would tell them to F*CK OFF.

BTW Diri, Barev Ekhpair. Inchpes es?

So it means that learning another language which is important for the Kurdish cause is better than wasting time learning Armenian. I do not hate Armenian language, Armenia nor armenians, just this is logic. Learning Turkish, Arabic or Persian is far more better for our cause than learning Armenian just for fun. Ciao

And oh, I happen to be the a proud Kurd, maybe more proud than this Piling or what.
