I think he didn't know anything about it and just repeated what they were kind enough to tell him...

He just reports what he sees. But it's still an interesting video.
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

by the way the translator translated many things WRONGLY to english
for example when they were swearing they said I swear to my land
but it was translated "i swear to my party"
or that girl from sine (east of Kurdistan) said I would be imprisoned ... they translated "I would be killed" ...

by the way I was so surprised that there are girls from Sine in PKK's base... piling do you think they kidnaped them too ?

PKK provides all the time its own trasslators to journalists, or foreign politicians or NGO. These translators transform all the time the speeches according to the Party... For that reason they did hate when I came and tlak directly with people in Kurdish ! especialy when the "political watcher" does understand only Turkish !

Concerning the fate of the girls, I can't tell. That is right that some girls had been rapted in Southern Kurdistan, as children in the PKK schools. And some of these girls are afraid to come back in their family because they are supposed to be not virgins. And the PKK tells them that their family are dead or that they will kill them if they come back, even if it is not true.

It might happened in Eastern villages or cities but I don't know. There could be another way : if a girl has trouble with her family they welcome her friendly, but after she can't fled.

In any case, none of these teenagers can speak freely and they are in danger to be killed if they criticize the party. For that reason, the work of the journalists is not fair. It is like to interrogate a prisonner in jail, front of his guardians.

I should agree with you that PKK is using kurds for its aims ,
it is so sad to see these young kurds speaking Turkish and saying "we dont want Kurdish state, kurdish state will be the source of the problem"
and then some days later , probably he will be killed by turks or iranians or americans... so sad "
if you dont want a kurdish state, you better name yourself "turkish speaking marxists feminists existantist gurilias"

I have some questions, if there are 10 000 of them in those mountains, how they can make food for 10 000 ppl everyday ?
how do they make that food , from what ? (from stones?) and another question, who has given weapon to PKK ? everybody hates them..who would give them weapon ?

10 000 ? mmm even Turks say that they are not more than 4000.
Concerning the food they buy it from villages around I think... or rackett it. You know many Southern Kurds had been violently "occupied" and sometimes terrified by them. But they are not so poor too. They have a lot of money because they control traffic between Iran and Turkey and Iraq too I suppose and mafia connexion in Turkey and Europe, and Armenia. Especially drug. No different than a lot of guerilla. Then they can buy food in Eastern Kurdistan as in Southern. But only rice, bread, goat... Life in guerilla is very strict and poor, while high commanders and high ranked members have a nicer life in their place. Equality is not "real" wirthin the party. All the time he was in Syria, Öcalan lived in luxuous and comfortable conditions, while the poor guerilla was starved.

Weapons are not difficult to find, if they are not too sophisticated. There are a lot of weapon marckets in the world.

or americans

Hu?

And yeah the girls don't look like they have very confortable life conditions...

and even PKK don't say they are 10 000 anymore, more like 5000 but I wonder where cause in videos and photos they never look like there are more than 1000 soldiers..

They can do a lot of attacks then in Turkey. It's unbelievable..

And they get one sheep per family as a tax. It stood in a report somewhere, but the Kurdish families said they could live withit.
