Rojhelat TV.. starts to ME !

STOCKHOLM, May 15, 2006 (AFP) - 17h00 - The first independent non-commercial Kurdish television station said it had started broadcasting to the Middle East via satellite from an undisclosed location near Stockholm on Monday.

"This is the first independent Kurdish TV station aimed at all Kurds, and the first to broadcast in both Kurdish dialects and Persian," Kurdo Baksi, a spokesman for the channel, told AFP.

The station, Rojhelat TV, broadcasts two hours of news stories daily from around the world, with particular focus on the Middle East and Iran.

Rojhelat also plans to broadcast news, pictures and film sent in by individuals in Iran, Baksi said.

Most of Rojhelat TV's 20 staff members are Kurds from Iran, Iraq and Turkey.

The channel is keeping the location of its premises secret for security reasons.

All the Kurdish channels of television belong to the political parties,Rojtv,Ktv,Kurdsat.Many Kurdish think that Zagros is an independant tv but I don't believe it,it belongs to KDP too.They are channels of propaganda for these political parties.

Rojhelat Tv is a first step,i hope that this channel will be really independent. I hope also that other independent channels will broadcast in kurdish.

that sentence was said by the manager of the TV , do you expect him say "no our TV is not independence ?"
all TVs say they are independece, even KurdSat say it in their logo everytime...but they dont cover news more than slemany .

and you are wrong piling Rojhelat belongs to Komala not to PDKI.

all three new channels, RojHelat, Tishk, Komala, opened bout 3 monthes ago, while i was in sweden. as kak Deyako said, RojHelat TV belongs to Komala, n so does Komala TV as the name says it all. and Tishk TV, my fav, belongs to PDKI

it's good to have independent channals, but now that it's not possible, i dont mind any kurdish channel as long as it is representing the name of KURD n Kurdistan to the world. =)

I think it's so stupid that Kurdishmedia promoted the idea that Komala tv is of the Kurdish opposition party Komala.

You have TWO komala's. The Kurdish one: Rojhelat TV and the Communist one Komala TV. The latter I doubt has something to do with Kurds!

yeah, the Komala TV is supported by the communist one, but it got something with kurds lol, i'v seen their 2hrs daily program when it started at the very first.

Well that would be stupid because Komala (KUrdish one) are Kurdish nationalists. The other one.. I don't know what it is.. just general communist party.

I dont think there is another Komala. I think Rojhelat and Komala TV are the same.
there is one komala, their official names is "Iranian Communist Party"
