The original KURDISH name of Dogubeyazit, as the elders and inhabitants of the city can tell you, is actually BAVÎZÎD, which means father of the Yizîdîs! It was changed to Beyazid during the time of the Ottomans!

So use Bavîzîd, not Dogubeyazit, Beyazit or Beyazîd!

What do you mean with of the Yizîdîs! You mean Yezidis and who was father of Yezidis and why?

I mean Yizîdîs, I mean Yezîdîs, however you wish to spell it heval :)
And the city was named Bavîzîd meaning "father of the Yezîdîs" because it was a settlement or home of Yezîdî Kurds at the time it was established.

Thanks for the information, heval! Never knew about this. Can I trust you on this one, I mean are you sure about the name Bavîzîd.

Btw: All ancient Kurdish towns were established by Yezidi Kurds since all Kurds were “Yezidi” once… :D

You can trust my word as any other. Speak to the elders in the town of Bavîzîd about it's history. Rulers can change the names whenever they wish but the Kurdish truth will live forever! :D

And who were they before Judaism and Christianity? "Jewish" and "Christian" are modern terms.

The fact is that ancient Medes (people of Kurdistan) were Zoroastrian.

I've about ancient towns.

You know Medes are not an old people in ME, regards to Ancient history. As other Indo-Iranian people, they came during the 1st Millenium BC, and founded their kingdom in -700 . If you compare with the 6M years of history in Mesopotomia, they are only newbies.

Hurrians 'language was not Indo-European. Their origin is uncertain, and they have been only colonized by Hittits.

Moreover, Medes are not nearer than Hittits than European... Only cousins... Like us.

I never said that Hurrians were Iranians or Indo-Europeans or Europeans. I’m just saying that they were ancient and aboriginal people of Kurdistan and that they are part of Kurdish ancestors.
