almosili!!what arabic dielect!!! Seem you care a lot about Arabic dialect than Kurdish one, bro, if you Kurdish try learn more Kurdish dialect!!. Leave the Arabs language for Arabs to talk about it!!

Kurdish languge as Indo-European language, is much better for our language to use word that we have lost in time we replaced with European word or terms!!! To use word such as market or a store, it should be easily used in Kurdish and bring Kurdish to it sorginality, the dukan or bazar, which is common words in middle east and we kurds also using it,I am not sure thier originality however term” Bazaar, even use today in English, and anyone can understand this word.

I also would like to share very important words, for example word such as Heaven, we have lost this word during Arabs invasions, today we either called “Cenet” or biheşt , but in fact Kurds during Medes was using word as Paridaiza(or Peridaiza), which today in English callling it Paradise,

The term paradise itself come from Peri(pari), paradise the place where peris lives, in Kurdish peri as immortal angel of heaven,from childhood we having this stories about peries heard time to time, therefore from now on any Kurds should fix the word such as Cenet or a biheşt and calling it paradise or peridaiza, which bring it its originally, I found this very important to bring to your attention

Sorry but this is the first time I hear SIQ from a Bahdinani, i think its SÎK, of course from the arabic SUQ. In Bahdinan every U is turned to an î

When I asked some Sorani speakers(from Southern-K.)if they used the word "bazaar", they told me they used it only with the meaning of: "towncentre"...has anyone else heard the word bazaar used with this meaning? can you confirm me this? thanks.
I was surprised when they told me that, in italian we use it usually for small shops where you can find all sort of things, especially rare or special objects.

According to wikipidia the terms of Bazaar as follows:
“…A bazaar is a marketplace, often covered, typically found in areas of Persian and some Islamic culture. The word derives from the Persian word bāzār, whose etymology goes back to the Pahlavi word baha-char meaning "the place of prices…".


however according to Encyclopedia Britannica; the term bazaar as follow:

“... Originally, a public market district of a Persian town. From Persia the term spread to Arabia (the Arabic word suq is synonymous), Turkey, and North Africa. In India it came to be applied to a single shop, and in current English usage it is applied both to a single shop or concession selling miscellaneous articles and to a fair at which such miscellany is sold, sometimes for…”

However, in mown perspective I have a bit doubt and reservation in that regards: for some good reason

1. the first ruler and governmental system of today so called Iran was Median, when Persian take over they have adopt almost all system of median , as we know Persian who use to be tribe in north where today Turkmenistan, near Ural sea, they had barbarian life.
2. to me is clear that balance of Kurdish is not language is adopt itself with parallel to Persian, but quit opposite, Persian learned and adopted their language based on Kurdish as note in point 1.(of course our language have been effected during Persian rules)
3. as today all research and facts all based on existence of nation who have boundaries as well as politically been adjusted, which means, the researchers analysis only stay with boundaries of nation or countries. is very clear that everything has been mislead, and adjusted and a lot things has been stolen from Kurdistan, and either considering them as mildest culture or a Persian or a Turk, in my person opinion I would be more caution to say that word “bazaar” have to be Persian term.
4. in Kurdish culture the second day of week” yek şem” always been called bazaar day, where peoples would gather in a flat area and they sell their good our exchange thing for something they need, such has selling cows, sheep’s and buying cloths house hold, etc… this term later turks adopted as name week after their tribes invasion in Kurdistan, they also adopt themselves somehow to the region traditional culture of marketing(bazaar) they present themes in market and learned customer of buying and selling good, today Turks call that day “PAZAR”
