In general it is a complete waste of time to have discuss between religious ppl concerning their dogma. For each of them is persuaded to have the Right and Divine version of Truth.
In the 9th century, in Baghdad, there was a place called the House of Wisdom, where Jewish, Christan and Muslim philosophers went to debate about philosophy, metaphysic, logi, rhetoric, etc. One of the rule was to never have argument like "God told it", or "my Sacred Book told it then it is true", for these skilfull and wise ppl knew that when religious dogma entered in a debate, there is no possible debate anymore, no rational, logical thinking.
Then of course you are sure to have right, and you come to explain your view to ppl who are sure you're wrong because they're right, etc. Of course a waste of time.
And if you are an agnostic like I am, everybody, atheist and believers tried to persuade me that I am wrong because I have not still the true revelation of the key of the world... But being an agnostic has its advantage : there is no dogma.
