I think shia, in Iraq, historically are Persian, even their looks and their surname differ from arab-sunni, ironically once i heard in news, the terrorist-insurgent when using check point in Iraqi cities to kill shia, they mostly identify trevales shia by their surname as well as appearance.

What I think, is that, this people are not really Arabs, but during Islamic invasion this peoples kind assimilate to Arab culture, it’s like Syrian Arab who assume to be Assyrian.

Yesterday you said that Medes weren't even close to Persians...now you're saying they are Persian! Make up your mind.

Yes, the layout of Baghdad was created by Iranian architects. Even if Persians and other Iranians lived in that area, they were completely Arabized. Their culture today is completely Arab - just because they are Shii doesn't mean they share a common culture with Shiis of Iran. Just like you can't compare a Christian Englishman to a Christian Assyrian....
