yes it will also keep them away from turks who use latin script, you never know later the turks will say we borrowed latin alphabet from them

but for arabic script we all know it is universally used for languages like arabic(duh) ,urdu, persian, pashto, kashmiri, balochi and many more

You are 100% right. I too had thought about it.
But the question which now raises is ''how to extend the number of people who can write/read this alphabet''; though we know it is already largely popular in north kurdistan due to islam.

i beleive if we have a united kurdistan in 2 decades a new generation will go to school and learn arabic script, some people say the letters change then how come around 1 billion muslims can read it???????????

As said in media, DTP is going to turn towards islam; I think they can promote quranic alphabet for Kurdish as it was used by kurds before kemalists appeared :?

Pardon the type-o. Thanks for the spelling correction. Doesn't ''mirdin bo turkiye'' mean ''Death to Turkiye''? That's not nice.

Sirwan wrote:There can be other alphabets for Kurdish. Before Islam iranic people used to write in Pahlavi script. that is Aramaic, or better known today as Syriac. I know Kurdish writers from eastern kurdistan who prefer this script for Kurdish.
Also there is a Yazidi script. Meshefa resh is written with it. Like Armenian and Georgian it is unique, but it is similar to phoenician alphabet

But today Kurds from eastern southern and western Kurdistan are fluent in Arabic script. also the northern Kurdistanis are firm supportives of Islam. this means they have the ability to learn Arabic/islamic/Quranic alphabet.

The same is true for latin alphabet. Northern Kurds are fluent in latin script; but eastern, southern and western Kurds all have more or less a knowledge of latin alphabet.

<<And this peoples are much developed and richter than arabs and persians.>>
I dont think turks are more developed than Persians. Iran has a much better economy than turkey and Azarbaijan. I've lived in both turkey and Iran, and found Iran a beatiful country (exept its Kurdisan and Baluchistan). The only problem with Iran is its politicians who are severely anti-usa. and you won't see naked europeans running there.

Turks everytime more developed than arabs and persians.
your turkey and iran visitings can not be an indicator :)

firstly slav u rez

ı see most of pple 's logic runs by thier habits coz kurds from other 3 parts of kurdistan choose the arabic script because of they use it never wana change thier habits and kurds from northern kurdistan choose the latin one

ı have a respect the other 3 parts they could countinue to thier holy book's(quran) script , enjoy with arabic culture

but as ı kurd from northern kurdistan will not allowed the an arabic influence on my language , our language is kurdish and it belongs to IE language family and most used scrpit is latin,, thx to celaled bedirxan created an kurdish latin scrpit for us(northern kurds)

it is ur wish to allow arabict script but forget to unite with 20 million of northern kurds(kurmanc and zaza) ,, wait and see how day by day kurdish dialects gona change as sperated languages maybe it will be ur GOAL !!!

BTW about the ceation of a standart dialect un acceptable , ı have never left from my ancient dialect(kurmanci) and no one could say sorani will be a standart dialect for us ,, maybe u do it in ur başur but not at nothern kurdistan.
