Guys,i found a nice site about news from peshmerga and iraqi army. its a timeline of what happend every month from 2009 to date. very interesting site.

Peshmerga 3rd brigade to be transfered to KhanaQin

After a meeting between Peshemrga , Iraqi army and US side it was decided to move 3rd Peshmerga brigade to the Khanaqin's "sliced off" areas which are Jalawla , Sadiya and Qaratapa announced Peshmarga spokesmen (Jabar Yawar).
he stated "we came to an agreement to move our 3rd brigade from Kifri to Khanaqin district that does not have Peshmarga presence at the moment , so that they have have co-operation with the Iraqi army in chasing the terrorists"
(Yawar) also referred that the people of these areas had asked for Peshemrga's presence in order to keep them safe from terrorist attacks

120 Abraham Tanks reach iraq - KRG will get some too

according to a aknews i read an article that the Abraham tanks that reached iraq last week will be shared over all iraq and kurdistan will get its share of them as well. i am looking for the link cos i read it on my phone few days ago .

Thats great news :D with those M1A1 tanks,and the T-72s and hopefully we will also get TR-85s from romania, we will have a strong (and modern) armoured ground force.

i think the kurds need an air force and air defense for deterrence. a strong army we can forgot for many decades and without a state we could not even begin with the building of a strong army, but for deter we need a air force.

if the kurds a stronger, then they will two times to superior to attack by independence and without a reasonable reason it is even harder for enemys.

Iraqi finance deputy chairmen declared that this year a budget for 70000 Peshemrga soldiers have been allocted as well as equipping them

I was watching mega destructors show , which was about dismantling fighter jet f4 , I have realized KRG can easily Obtain these fighter jets whether to train pilots or use them to defend Kurdistan I saw that Germany still uses them

What I found interesting in that website is this cos it did happen lol

According to Kurdish press, the KRG is getting 4 utility helicopters for "traffic police" and 6 more for an "Air Ambulance" service.  These helicopters provide the KRG forces with an independent aviation capability.

has kurdistan the inention to buy jets? if even iraq gets f-16s, why kurdistan dont buy at least any jets. they must know, one day they will plan to attack us. if they have power to destroy krg, they will do it.

are we allowed to buy our own fighter jets? (by bagdad/washington DC)

KRG has bought jets to train pilots but they are not fighter jets . and KRG can buy helis but jets has to be under baghdad and they can then allocate a few to operate in KRG under Peshmerga control .

Kurdish pilots fly their planes above an airfield in the Kurdish town of Arbat, 30 kms east of the city of Sulaimaniayh, 24 January 2008.

Eighteen pilots, four of them women, graduated yesterday at the town's agricultural airfield established by the Kurdish autonomous region government.
