Why is that jet posted here? It doesn't belong to Peshmerga, or does it?

Stupid idea, because this states have no power in the region. You see it at Assad and Gaddafi how powerfull the US is and how weak Russia and China is. It will be fatal for Kurds to end their relations with the USA, Iraq and Turkey will use this to atack Kurdistan, and Russia and China will do nothing against that.

Yes America dont care about Kurds, we all know that, America dont care about anybody. But if you can be a good ally to the USA, they will support you, like they do it now with South Kurdistan. Yes Turkey and Iraq is a bigger partner for them, but what can we do against that? Kurds are a minority.

Yes we can build Relations with Russia and China, but without ending the Relations with the USA, because they are the biggest player in the middel east. Without their recognition Kurdistan can never be a indipendent state.

I really don't want to cut our ties with the Americans, that would be very very very stupid, I am only saying that we shouldnt think that the americans are helping us and that it isn't bad to have bilateral relations with the eastern European countries.

What ever we have is weak in quality and ineffective against the Iraqi army, especially in disputed territories (flat terrains). We are most effective in mountainous plains. Our forces are adapted to fighting in such environments, at least for the time being until the Iraqi army receives the F16's. It will make it much easier for them to strike our positions, in the case of a war...which I doubt.

It seems to me that to many people have the wrong impression KRG has and is using only old captured weapons. KRG has get many new weapons from the US, Britain and other troops when they moved out from Iraq and Kurdistan. Not only that for sure KRG have bought a good chunk of new heavy artillery too. The equipment of KRG is comparable to that of the Iraqi Army.

i found an translanted article about the jet:
The Spanish Mirage F-1M, again in the sights of the Air Force Argentian

Image

Every cloud has a silver lining" may well have been the title of this note. The terminal position of the Mirage III / V which is detailed in the letter of 19 May, no doubts "thawed" and gave strong impetus the arrival of a new fighter in short, a process that until now was developing slowly or was directly paralyzed. Today, news reports indicate that not only evaluates the Mirage F-1 ex Jordan (on which we make numbers analysis), but also an old acquaintance offered for the first time back in 2008: the Mirage F-1M of Spain .

In that year, Argentina was offered by a batch of between 12 and 16 Mirage F-1M, which was studied with some interest but then apparently file. The reasons were to consider other offers like the Kfir C10 (now discarded) and the remaining useful life of the aircraft. It is this last point is where we find the greatest challenge to this game, because that would have been the reason why Ecuador rejected a similar offer of Mirage F-1M in 2009 and eventually bought the Cheetah C / D (although we say that the purchase is currently challenged by a recent accident in Ecuador, which will analyze appropriate).

Unofficially, the supply of 2008 had a total cost of 3 million euros, which should be added the cost of inspection staff, a must in some use aircraft such as Mirage F-1M. With this inspection (or "GV", ie Grand Tour, as it is called in Spain) planes obtained a remnant of hours enough to justify its purchase. A few months ago we reported in a note to the Spanish Air operated its Mirage F-1M until 2017 at least, which we understand that, with proper inspections, this game would be quite feasible for the Air Force Argentina (FAA).

Today it seems that this is a similar offering in quantities and prices, with the possibility that a transaction is carried out "government to government" without companies who act as intermediaries and beneficial credit terms for Argentina. Taking into account the offer to Ecuador in 2009, the quantities to be sold 12 copies would be available to be delivered quickly, but an option for another 12, which would be released after following the arrival of more Eurofighter Typhoon base at Albacete .

If selected to the Spanish Mirage F-1M, it is estimated that the planes would be arriving from 2012, which the FAA will be nothing less than commemorating its 100 years, plus the 30th anniversary of Baptism of Fire in the Falkland Islands. As if this were not enough, in 2012 the current FAA Mirage IIIV are fulfilling 40 years of service, which arrival of the Mirage F-1M seems more than timely ...
