I get the feeling sheytan is a spy working for maliki too!!

We should totally ban him.

Oh NO! I've been rumbled!

for the record I'm an engineer working in oil and gas sector (sometimes, but not always) in Iraq. I just have a personal interest in this stuff and I did go to military college in the past (not in Iraq though). ;)

might as well delete the thread then! LOL. I think the Iraqi military uses a combination of SIGINT / HUMINT and ISR to ascertain what weapons are in Kurdistan and available to the peshmarga. Anything particularly large can't be hidden (well it can, but then you can't train on it)... this has been discussed previously already.

keeping it on topic. I'll post some excrepts from the US Army Lt Colonel's thesis. (Maybe heval Alan can help me out too, once he reads through it)! within a year Alan will be a competent military strategist for the peshmarga!

PS. Iraqi army helicopters HAVE deployed regularly to Erbil, that's why I was asking! (even in the "top gear special" in Kurdistan you saw an Iraqi Army Aviation Mi-17 in Erbil, just as one example).

yes sure , but rest assured Kareem Sinjari , a "PDK" high member and KRG "minister of interior" is not going to be using maliki's choppers , and as Peshmerga spokesmen has said many times , iraq has not given us 1 dinar let alone choppers to use , so no they belong to the interior ministry since he is there and is congratulating our police pilots .

it is obvious if you look at the photo , no need to make assumptions . there is the KRG interior minster standing with Kurdish pilots , as well as his own Kurdish body guards and his own Kurdish pilots, so there is no iraqi pilots , soldiers or anything iraqi around to be seen !! , so those choppers belong to interior ministry since he is the right man to be using them , so i said it again , maliki or iraqi army will not be letting our interior minister , a PDK high official as well, to use one of their choppers , i will leave it to you as why they wont do so.

maliki has sacked every PDK in baghdad , like aziz waisi , azad barwari , and he tried sacking sar7ad Qader police chief, another PDK in Kirkuk but like i have always said , iraqi orders in sliced off areas under KRG's control have 0 authority , hence he is still in his post .

and also shaytan who is fault is it that kurds are banned on ssc racist hang out ? the kurds or mr furat and his bunch of moron followers !

actually the aircraft and helicopters of the army aviation have been used quite regularly by officials in Kurdistan, and also for transporting troops etc... but do show us clear pictures so we can see the type of helicopters and what insignia / serial numbers they have. right now all we can know is 2 huey's on the apron in Erbil. there's a dozen helicopters in baghdad international airport (last week) which were charter helicopters belonging to various private companies and foreign organisations, oil companies etc... You don't see me posting on iraqimilitary.org claiming these are all iraqi army helos. lets make sure to show the developments as accurately as possible.

For example, the new EC120B helicopters, how many are there, and are they owned by the local government or leased from http://www.7-gyroplane.com/ ? Their serial numbers indicate foreign ownership at least, but that could be a foreign "proxy" used by the Peshmarga to avoid having Iraqi registration numbers... You see you can't just say "stuff is hidden"! if its hidden, how would you know about it? and if you know about it, its no longer hidden! so why no evidence?

man you really ARE stubborn lol , Peshemrga spokesmen just said few days ago that, iraq has not given us a bullet since 2003 so how is it you want to claim peshemrga is using 'iraqi choppers' ;), we dont let an iraqi handgun to enter KRG past Hawija let alone their choppers .... ! lets not call Talabani a KRG offical now  , we are talking about ministry of interior of KRG not iraq .

keeping it on topic. I'll post some excrepts from the US Army Lt Colonel's thesis. (Maybe heval Alan can help me out too, once he reads through it)! within a year Alan will be a competent military strategist for the peshmarga!

no mate ! i am no strategist unlike you , i am just stating the obvious facts while you live in denial .
